Ralph Castro's Kenpo Karate opened its first school in 1958 in San Francisco, California.
He taught literally thousands of students in his legendary career.
He sadly passed in 2019 after a lifetime of sharing his art.

He consolidated many of his affiliated schools into the International Shaolin Kenpo Association in 1981.
All who have trained in Shaolin Kenpo owe Great Grandmaster Ralph Castro a great deal of gratitude and respect.

Shaolin Kenpo
Reunions

Beginning in 2024, Shaolin Kenpo Martial Arts of Olympia has hosted a reunion of practitioners in Washington State. With over 50 years of history, our group is dedicated to carrying on the legacy started by Great Grandmaster Ralph Castro.
This reunion takes place near Olympia in May of each year. Anyone who has taken Shaolin Kenpo in the history of the style in Washington State is welcome to attend.

The link to the left will take you to the history of Shaolin Kenpo in Washington State. As there is with physical training, there will be bumps and bruises along the way. With truth and integrity as our beacons, we will attempt to guide you safely home.

California is where Great Grandmaster Ralph Castro settled and began sharing his art of Shaolin Kenpo in the late 1950s. Upon his passing, Gerald and Vince Ronan took over the school in Daly City where GGM taught for many, many years.
Although the history of Shaolin Kenpo Martial Arts in California is far shorter than the overall picture of Ralph Castro's Kenpo Karate and later the International Shaolin Kenpo Association, with permission from the ISKA, we will attempt to share what we can.

We are proud and deeply honored to be included in this yearly event hosted by Mr. Todd Durgan. Here are some photos we have taken to celebrate a benefit event for a great cause.

Gathering of Eagles

Every couple years, Tracy's International Kenpo Karate Association hosts a multi-day event to share technique, brotherhood, and fellowship with one another.
The initial event was held in Las Vegas in 1999 and the 25th Anniversary of the event was held in Collinsville, Illinois, just outside St. Louis, Missouri.
All Kenpo styles are welcome! It's an amazing place to learn new things and make new brothers and sisters in the arts
